We call upon the brightest minds in microbiome and metagenomics research—scientists, postdoctoral fellows, and research innovators—to submit groundbreaking 16S sequencing and metagenomics project proposals. This initiative seeks to unearth novel applications, push the boundaries of discovery, and accelerate advancements in understanding the intricate microbial world that shapes human health, disease, and the environment.
To be the catalyst for pioneering discoveries in microbiome and metagenomics research, fostering next-generation breakthroughs that transform scientific landscapes and pave the way for revolutionary applications in healthcare, agriculture, and environmental sciences.
To support, nurture, and accelerate disruptive scientific endeavors by equipping researchers with state-of-the-art 16S sequencing resources, expert mentorship, and strategic collaborations to push the frontiers of metagenomics research.
Submissions will be meticulously evaluated based on the following scientific and innovation-driven parameters:
- Scientific Ingenuity & Novelty – Does the research challenge conventional paradigms in microbiome and metagenomics science?
- Impact & Research Significance – Will the project contribute to unravelling critical unknowns in microbial ecology, host-microbe interactions, or disease pathogenesis?
- Feasibility & Experimental Rigor – How robust is the methodological framework, and how well is the research structured for execution?
- Potential for Transformative Applications – Can this research lead to groundbreaking translational discoveries in diagnostics, therapeutics, or environmental sciences?
How to Participate
- Open to microbiome and metagenomics researchers, postdoctoral fellows, PhD students, academic labs, and industry innovators across India.
- Submit your most pioneering 16S sequencing and metagenomics project proposal via the online application form.
- The first 05 applicants with the most innovative, high-impact proposals will receive a FREE 16S Metagenomics Sequencing Kit (24 samples).
